Vera-Ellen has to be the most underrated dancer ever to appear in Hollywood. Her dancing is simply fantastic: fluid, perfect speed, controlled, graceful, athletic, and downright beautiful. How your average person with knowledge of that era seems to always forget about Vera-Ellen is beyond me. The woman was simply amazing!
