actually landing on grass with skates is not as safe as it sounds, i was learning 270s onto my rail in the grass and my wheels got stuck and i twisted and broke my tibia and fibula by my ankle and my fibula again about mid calf

I don't really agree with your explanation because the techniques required for a backflip on a wall/tree, trampoline and on blades are different. E.g. why would you explain placing a foot in front on a wall when you don't need that on blades? If you want to talk about the similarities, then talk about how you have to tuck back and swing your head and arms instead, since those things are the same for all 3 types.

I just wanted to point out that in my opinion, it makes no sense learning a backflip against a wall BEFORE you try it on blades because both types require a different approach. I.e.: off a wall, you need one foot to push you away from the tree and up in the air; but on blades, you can't do that because you're on wheels so you don't have any grip. The way you have to swing your arms and tuck back, however, IS similar with both types.

Like many others on YouTube who can do neat stuff, he is showing off more than he is teaching. Nothing wrong with that, but they/he could drop the "teaching " or "tutorial" part and just post it as an accomplishment that is fun to watch, including a "don't try this at home" disclaimer. Then again, if you wear enough protective gear, it would not be too risky to try.
