  • @screwopenborders 265whp is considerably more than a 2004-2008 Maxima... This thing must be pushing around 300 hp at the crank.

  • @arcenal352 2004 maxima was when they started giving them 265 hp. 2002-2003 255 hp. I didn't know this was 300hp.

  • @screwopenborders Yeah I know... but the 2004-2008's 265hp is at the crank. A good 40hp is lost by the time it gets to the wheels. For him to have 265whp (it's in the description) he has to be pushing around 300hp at the crank.

  • on this 8psi dyno: 265whp / 249wtq

    i changed to a 13 psi pulley afterwards but i sold the car and did not get a chance to dyno it. with the 13psi, it would be a little over 300whp.

  • 13psi? how did you handle the detonation? I ran a 10psi pulley and had to either spray water/methenol or run 104 race gas... otherwise the thing would knock so bad I would have to shift early or get out of it.

  • you NEED larger injectors, larger maf and a good tune. stock injectors are at 100% duty cycle around 10psi. in addition, the ecu won't add any more fuel either because the stock maf is also maxed out at that point.

    i ran 550cc injectors with a z32-tt maf sensor. no detonation at all on a rich tune.

  • Assuming you also have a modded ECU with custom fuel mapping. I have the z32 MAF and z32 size injectors, HP pump, AEM adj FPR running stock fuel pressure... the WB O2 says I'm pig rich at WOT so I know the MAF is not maxing out. Still knocked with 98 octane. I have a stock ECU. Tuned with SAFC-2. but, then again, the compression test on that motor was 210 - 224 PSI so that may have something do do with my situation. Anyway, nice vid and nice max!

  • what kind of plugs are you running? i ran one step colder ngk copper v-power and reduced the gap size by quite a bit too.

  • 2 steps colder copper NGK... I think it was BKR-7E (been 3 years since I bought them so dont' quote me). Stock gap.
