Is it just me or does this look completely laughable like a comedy?

You know this whole Scanner concept is just a knock off of the "Force" in Star Wars. It was cleverly re created in a different context. Nothing more. The first movie told a story and was very gruesome at times. Quality horror type movie. Then they started going in all directions. We got Scanner Cops,etc,etc. Most of the sequels do suck balls. This movie is saved by the chick playing Helena. Plain and simple!

TheXenomorph1. I tend to agree with you on this particular Scanner 3 Movie. The original Scanners is the only one that could be put into a horror movie list. Scan3 is my #2 in the franchise. I like this movie. Helena is really hot and evil in this.

if i remember well, and correct me if i'm wrong, but there was a scene in Scanners 3 where a scanner goes to an arcade and plays Operation Wolf with his mind, only to have the machine blow up

yes there was a scene in that, but i might also be wrong but the guy that plays operation wolf only to have it blow up, that was in scaners 2, i think. i saw one of the scaner movies when i was kid, but i don't remember which one. but the idea of playing an arcade game and beating it, only for it to blow up, in a way would be funny, in real life (if done correctly) but anyways i love the scanner series.

p.s. i think they should make a tv series out of this, i think that it should involve a new police unit involving scanners, it would still be bloody but the amount of time it takes to blow up somebodies head would be shorter. also when they are not using guns or melee weapons they can put all there powers into there fists and unleash a powerful upercut with bloody results. i think this might work on syfy or chiller. its just an idea.

They did 2 spin-off films along those lines "Scanner Cop" and "Scanner Cop 2".

This is the worst Scanners Film I have ever seen. I watched all 5 parts and this one is a tragedy. These scanners think they are as good as Al Capone and his mafia. What a shame.

there's alot of that Carrie style telekinesis in 2 and 3. I like the first one, It's original and creative.
