i still dont understand when do i have to use could or can are those words the same? for example if i ask someone... could u prepare seafood for tonight? is the same if i ask... can u prepare seafood for tonight?...

Use of could is to establish a level of doubt, tentativeness or politeness. If someone asked you, “Can you do this for me?” or “Could you do this for me?” which would sound more polite and formal? I can go to the store later. I could go to the store later.

When you say “I can” you are just establishing that you have the ability to do so. When you say “I could” you establish that, yes you have the ability, but it’s only a possibility that you will go.

inutili saranno le lezioni di inglese che si fanno al liceo, io capisco perfettamente l'inglese scritto ma non riuscivo a spiaccicare una parola o a capire cosa volesse un turista, grazie a video semplici come questi sto corregendo il problema...

devi avere un minimo di basi.. se le hai non hai problemi a capire i dialoghi, visto che vengono parlati lentamente, e in modo scandito.

...perdonami se insisto...ma sono un'insegnante d'inglese...e anche se i dialoghi sono piuttosto lenti...per capirli serve più che "un minimo di basi"...e anche se fosse come dici tu...una persona che ha un minimo di basi sa anche dire "My name is...."..continuo a pensare che sia fatto carino....ma assolutamente inutile!

"sa anche dire "My name is...."" certo certo l'inglese scolastico è gravemente carentente circa le capacità di ascolto e di parlare. Tutti sanno dire "mai neim is" ma nessuno lo fa davvero con la pronuncia corretta (del resto non lo fate neanche voi insegnanti...)

Inizierò il quarto anno di liceo e su 6 docenti di inglese solo due parlavano un inglese decente (e sono stati solo due mesi a testa...

si...efettivamente sti corsi sono fatti propio bene, ma certamente ci vuole già "l'orecchio" abituato alla pronuncia, altrimenti non si capisce niente....comunque se cerchi ce ne sono più facili...
