  • Are YOU in charge of the warning system in the engine oil sludge matter? Why isn't the OBD giving the vehicle owners warnings about the status of the failing engines? Why isn't it letting the driver know that there is no oil left in the vehicle? More importantly, what in the world is happening to the oil and why isn't this system detecting the inadequate lubrication? Toyota engines destroy their own oil!

  • PLEASE...don't minimize this situation the way Toyota has done the engine oil sludge matter for the past decade! It is NOT fair that Toyota is using its millions to cover up the facts about its vehicle defects (more than SUA)!! The Toyota owners want ANSWERS....not propaganda!!

  • The driver is NOTIFIED if there is a problem?!? Maybe you'd like to explain why so many (3,000+ petition signatories) Toyota engines are sludging with NO WARNING from the OBD?!? Are the WARNING SYSTEMS failing, too?!?!?

  • Oh, so you're saying electronically you guys make a great product. You just mess up on simple stuff like floor mats, right? This is crap. People are dying. Own up, Toyota.

  • I don't care what they say. I still say the car's computer is messed up. I heard on the news that a few one's that had there pedal's fixed were still doing it! Toyota should just replace it with a more updated one the hopfuly shouldn't do it.

  • whats wrong with just having a cable from the pedal to the throttle body? it worked for how long and never had any problems.

  • Sounds interesting. I am a bit curious as to why such failures did not occur earlier - sounds awe fully like a bandwagon to me. Having thrashed the crap out of Toyota's until 2008, I would be surprised if there are things outside human control that cause accidents. I am yet to have one fail on me. Who are these customers who have had these toyota fail? do they drive that same car to court when filling charges against toyota.....food for thought.

  • :/ sad. I did not know Toyota company is so blunt, and bend on earning money.

Kirsten sounds like a reasonable person, I would like to see how reasonable she would be if she would lost a member of her family due to a stupid accident, that shouldn't happen in the first place if Toyota would admit to those problems when they first saw the daylight.

    Cunt.

  • i wish the would just go away figure out what the real issues/fix is. Then maybe comeback or NOT!

A car is pretty much useless if you can't control it and has a mind of it's own.

  • Mrs. Kristen Tabar stated:

"In general All ETC systems work the same way...?" and that may be true.

But, they certainly don't FAIL the same way as your Toyota system does. Ask the customers who experienced it personally.

However... Some unfortunately will never be able to share their experience with you directly.

  • This is def a last ditch effort to try and cover their ass when they know damn well it has everything to do with electronics in cars of theirs dating back to as far as 1996 or even earlier! They are def in for a world of trouble!
