Therefore, countries must buy dollars, with the exception of the U.S. Something that would drastically cut down the value of the dollar is simply that other countries start preferring another currency for oil.

This is a good video. The two cautions I would make on it though is that worldwide currency collapse is unlikely, though the dollar probably. A lot of countries central banks are stocking gold and there are quietly preparing for precious metal backed currencies. A world currency is unlikely because China, Russia, India, and the Arab world won't play. My last caution is this; sometimes die with a whimper instead of a bang.

It's starting. The Chinese are accepting other county's trades in their own currencies bypassing the American dollar. Once enough are away from the dollar the Chinese already have enough resources to back a new reserve currency they will dump U.S. bonds overnight. U.S. markets lose control, trading in the U.S. will freeze then predictably American citizens will take to the streets and destroy their own cities as always.
