Acekard 2 Soft Reset/Autorun Infinite Loop

Lol, if you have pokemon soft reset like 100 times and you get te shiny version xD

What do you mean? If I reset from the title screen many times, I'm not getting a shiny. Soft resetting for shinies would only work with encounter Pokemon, such as legendaries.

If you hold B when you start up the AK it'll go back to the menu

OK guys got the solution (I cbf posting today for some reason).

1. Put the microSD into a card reader and connect to PC

2. Open the _ak2 folder and find globalsettings.ini

3. autorunWithLastRom = 1 - change that to zero and save the file

I just noticed the AKAIO does not have this patch menu. If you upgrade your firmware then it won't have the option to autorun. As for the Bliss firmware I don't have it anymore but there should be a .ini file in the firmware with shortcut details or autorun details - just remove the appropriate lines

o lol i had that exact same problem today, except i figured how to end the loop, when you soft reset, hold the buttons for a longer than usual amount of time.

To stop this from happening open up the globalsettings file and change the value of autorunlastrom to 0

So you're saying its stupid to post videos of problems. Posting the video means that I know the issue exists. But yes sorry boamuro I overlooked VigorForce's question - I was supposed to say that if you've come across this replacing the globalsettings.ini file in the __ak2 folder should get rid of the shortcut and thus prevent the loop.

Does the Acekard 2 have Real-time saving? I could really use real-time saves. I bought the R4 recently ($20 -_-), but I should have done more research.

It doesn't, and its the only feature missing really lol. Only the M3 DS, Supercard and CycloDS have RTS. M3 and R4 are out of production though iirc so the ones now would be fakes

Yeah, I keep hearing that only "fake" R4s are being sold now. But that's probably the case with dealextreme. I bought mine from a US seller and they carried R4 v2 (probably before they started making fake ones). I heard the fake ones support SDHC and have built-in memory, whatever. I don't know what the big deal is with fake ones as long as if it works.

Which one do you recommend out of those? Forget Acekard then. I just need real-time saves.

Well theres no such thing as a R4 v2 xD. The difference is that the others are unlikely to provide the firmware updates that you would need to play new ROMs if/when they are incompatible. If you can afford it the CycloDS would be the best, but personally I use the Supercard and thats fine. Also the in game menu is much quicker than the Cyclo

They said they made R4 Volume 2 before the R4 team died. Everything about it doesn't fit the "fake" signs.

Do the real-time save work good? I saw a video of someone trying to show how that works but the once he loaded the save, it was messed up. I think it might have been the Supercard...

Well the only time its messed up for me was in Advance Wars 2 and that was coz I ran that DS PDA software or whatever and it corrupted my card hard core lol. If you check my channel I think I have a demonstration of the CycloDS RTS - it was very slow for me iirc
