It's been pretty well-publicized by now that this was a plant by the network. This band is another attempt at the limelight by Richard Rzeznick (the drummer/"new guy"), Goo Goo Johnny's much less-talented younger brother. Too bad for 50 Pound Rooster but it's all about who you know.

I also noticed that for some strange reason, Zolar X made the auditions. I often wonder if they were looking for comic relief on Next Great American Band. I mean, I remember some of the lame episodes on American Idol.
