  • At 10seconds, and 47 seconds... what is that weight lifting exercise called? I hear names like clean, clean and jerk, snatch, whatever..but what IS the real name? Cause im trying to search more on it. My coach wants me to use this as weight training for sprinting, but never get the technique right. He says i keep using arm power not hips, so i want to watch videos carefully to see how it;s done.

  • stregth is not the same as explosiveness ...

  • they are somewhat related, you will never find a weak guy who is explosive, but you can find a slow guy who is strong

  • I dont know about that. Know a lot of weak guys that are explosive from the blocks. Coached a couple of high school kids that were very slim and never lift weights a day in their life but are explosive. brought them to the weight room and they couldnt even squat the smallest of weights. I think they got explosion through repitition.

  • @dls2779 . Each person is born with a certain amount of white/red muscle fiber. More than likely your athletes' that were explosive without training were born with a high amount of white/fast twitch fiber. You cannot add fast twitch or slow twitch however you can train your fast twitch to be more explosive, and you can train your red fiber for more endurance.

  • @rwilsono8 theres also a third type that can become either depending on ur training and r most likely be slow twitch if ur untrained. ne one can become faster than they already r.

  • @lifterXofXtheXdead . I would guess by your typing that you are young. If you don't believe you can become faster than you currently are, then you know little of science and speed training. Almost anyone can become faster and more explosive than they currently are. It is possble that someone highly trained or is a world class athleter is now at their top speed, but it's very rare. Most anyone can increase their speed and explosiveness through proper training.

  • @rwilsono8 " ne one can become faster than they already r."-me

" Almost anyone can become faster and more explosive than they currently are."-you

ya get it????? i wasnt saying u cant become faster. judging by ur comprehension lvl ur a tard. no offense.

  • @lifterXofXtheXdead I'm sorry but your typing skills are so poor I'm not being able to comprehend what it is your attempting to say. I have neither the desire nor the inclination to carry on a discussion with someone who resorts to name calling because they obviously don't know what they're talking about. You have a nice day.

  • @rwilsono8 we were saying the same thing u moron. just cuz u type better than i do does not make u fuckin smart.

  • @lifterXofXtheXdead: More name calling. Lifter of the Dead. Funny. The fact that I type better than you surely doesn't make me smarter. It makes me a better typist. The fact that I take the time to type out each word where people can understand what I'm trying to convey makes me smarter. The fact that I know more about lifting, speed training and explosivness for world class athletes just around the area of my asshole than you do, makes me smarter. See, I did that without calling you any names.

  • @TheBigdaddy60 see how ur over reacting even tho ur comment to me in the first place was stupid cuz u didnt understand that we were saying the same thing. i agree with u that u dont have to be born with speed and ne body gan gain speed and explosiveness. but ur kind of a douche and now ur trying to impress me with ur knowledge.

  • @lifterXofXtheXdead Additionaly, just so you'll know. During my lifting career I won State Powerlifting titles in 6 different states. I won the North American Champ as a member of the USA team and won the National Powerlifting championships as well as set a world record in the squat in the 275lb class. What have you done lately? Besides the name calling, of course. Notice I typed out each word. Not hard if you try.

  • @TheBigdaddy60 i gotta badass job that pays me buttloads of money!!!! =D lol. why dont u just chill out. this whole thing started cuz u thought i was saying that nobody can gain speed(which i wasnt) so ya. conversation kinda over. and no i wont spell shit out. unh!

  • @lifterXofXtheXdead , Let's see, you call me a douche, a retard, stupid and a moron. It would be fun to meet you someday. The reason we got off on the wrong foot was because of your typing. I can't imagine you having a high paying job and not be able to convey what it is you want to say on a keyboard. You said this: "ne one can become faster than they already r."-me. Whatever "ne" is. It could be the Knights who say "ne", on Monty Python. I'm not gonna take the time to figure it out.

  • @lifterXofXtheXdead " i agree with u that u dont have to be born with speed and ne body gan gain speed and explosiveness" There it is right there: "ne body gan gain speed and explosivness." Of course you mispelled NO and CAN. And because you type like a 3rd grade I did misunderstand what you weren't able to say, because you insist on typing all the wrong letters. Badass job....buttloads of money"? I doubt it. And besides what does that have to do with anything we were talking about?

  • @TheBigdaddy60 well u asked wat ive done lately. aaaaaand thats wat ive done sooooo.....

i didnt give a shit about ur lifting "career" as if it really qualifies u to try and school other douchebag on youtube. get a life. and seriously u couldnt figure out that i said. anybody can gain speed you dont have to be born with it. der.

  • @lifterXofXtheXdead You,, my friend, are a loser. Just some needle dick kid who probably can't stand to look at himself in the mirror. I know that, because people like you say things to people on line that you'd never say to them in person. Loser, plain and simple.

  • @lifterXofXtheXdead By the way, you're correct, my lifting career doesnt' qualify me to school anyone, however, my continuing education for the last 30 years in training elite athletes does. including having on speed dial my two good friends who helped found the Nat'l strength coaches assoc. and who have authored over 75 books on the subject of strength training and a variety of other subjects concerning getting the most out of your athletic career.

  • @lifterXofXtheXdead But since you have a "badass job and make butt loads of money". it shouldn't matter to you. I'm sure you, at NO Time, were an athlete of any degree.

  • @TheBigdaddy60 cuz ur psycic right!? lmao

  • @TheBigdaddy60 Just want to throw this out there. Someone who is complaining about peoples typing and grammar so much should probably not be using u instead of you and saying "you type like a 3rd grade." Its the internet people "text" talk it is what it is, if you want people to give merit to your argument the worst approach you could take is to insult the people you are having a discussion with. That shows that your base argument does not have enough bases to stand on its own. Thanks

  • @lifterXofXtheXdead: Did you just call me a moron AND spelled it correctly? That's amazing! You go lifterxofxthexdead. Lifter of the dead. You a funny man or girl, whichever.

  • @TheBigdaddy60 uhhhhhh.....why do u think i was talking to u? r u the same guy with 2 different accounts or some shit. and commenting on my spelling or grammar wont get a rise out of me lol

  • @sniperboy102 yeh same as weight lifting strength isnt like fighting strength (isometrics)

  • That was an over simplistic explanation.

  • lol it was 20sec long obviously

  • is this for real?

  • why not?
