Well actually Maplestory does have a story but it clearly depends on what class you choose, for explorers you are new comer in this mysterious land that you will have to venture on to discover all it has within it learning new skills. Resistance you were just a child when u had realized that your town needs help later on you meet your master and continue on your attempt at beating the black mage. So yeh i guess is does have a story. :D
