I've got a windshield wiper arm that was bent at an odd angle, on the driver side no less, and I really didn't want to pay for a new arm. So I swapped the passenger side for the driver side, and now I can re-bend the goofy arm so I can see out of the windshield during a rain/snow storm now.
Thanks for a quality how-to video. I am having a hard time removing the rear wiper blade from the wiper arm. This is on a '96 suburban just like the one in your video, with the tailgate and glass hatch that opens separately. The wiper arm is stock OEM. Any tips?
@franebay It should also have a little button that you need to press in as the video shows on the front wiper blades. Then you should be able to slide the blade toward you to remove it from the wiper arm. Hope this helps.
Wow that was easy. I tried to take off the wiper arm and i could not figure out how to. I will try it the way you just did it when i get home tonight. If it's that easy then i can't thank you enough.
Thank you. I was fighting with my Lincoln Mk VIII because I thought there was a nut under what looked like a cover (other Auto products had what looked similar). For the life of me I couldn't get the cover off and every other instructional out there said to "twist" some sort of latch. I now see that it was supposed to be "slide" the latch away from the arm. ugggghhhh!! Thanks again for showing this, as you are the only source I have found to show how to take off the wiper arm.

How would you get them off if they are rusted on or stuck on???
KyleParkin0 3 months ago
@KyleParkin0 If you can, you could try to use a little penetrating oil to free it up.
