hey guys i only played the start of this game and stopped because i found it too different to FF7. Could someone who has played both tell me whats different between the two and if there is anywhere near as much extra stuff to do in 8 as there was in FF7.

@2333321983 Well, like any other Final Fantasy since the Playstation, there is a, dare I say, PLETHORA of extra things you can or cannot do. Technically, every Guardian Force is optional. The DeepSea Research Center holds both Bahamut AND Ultima weapon, and then there's Omega, the Equivalent of say, Emerald in Seven. The card game can take several hours from your life, and doesn't totally suck, like in Nine. I'm playing it again right meow, myself. Literally. Right now. No snowboarding, though.

This was an awesome video. The only LB I've never seen before is the one with Ultimecia and Griever combined where she uses the four planets to crash into you. And I play this game a lot. Hmmm...

Just one thing though, you save ammo for Irvine if you stop shooting once the damage counter goes to zero, just an observation. Unless you like an overkill!

Squall's Lionheart is arguably the best limit break ever. Selphie's 'The End' is great too, but I kinda feel like I'm cheating if I use it. :)

To choose limit breaks is just the same as to gain them, in most cases. Upgrade the weapon to choose higher level limit breaks. Squall, if I recall, will most always use the highest level LB for his weapon. So, to use Lionheart, you need his best one.

@huhndaking777 Actually, there is no way to choose. I thought that on Renzokuken you could hit certain moves and miss certain others and achieve that final limit. I was wrong, the move that's done is random depending on your Gunblade. It's obvious with Revolver. Shear Trigger and Cutting Edge have; "25% Rough Divide - 75% Fated Circle", Flame Saber, Twin Lance and Punishment have; "25% Rough Divide - 25% Fated Circle - 50% Blasting Zone". Lionheart has a 25% chance of performing anyone of them.

@huhndaking777 It's possible to limit the chances if you make the Lion Heart gunblade and none of the others. Squall will then only have Rough Divide and Lion Heart as finishers, meaning that those will be the only two he can pull off (or none at all).

No actual way to choose the finisher other than by limiting its chances, though.

The only way to limit the number of finishers you can do is to -downgrade- to a model that has fewer options. Lion Heart will always have access to all four finishers.
