@hankmanGTA It's not the core count that matters, it's the speed of the cores, I'd rahter have a Core i3 (Dual core with HT that at best only gives the performance of half a core) than a Core 2 Quad Q6600.

I love this game though, it's seriously good

you need only a pcie slot and a good power suply.

but a faster cpu gives well more frames per second.

but this is anyway more than enough?

@GamerAndReviewer well my pc can run it smoothly on XP with CPU (PENTIUM 4 ) overclocked @4000MHz and GPU (Gigabyte Nvidia GT220) 3 GB RAM

@GamerAndReviewer - Yeah, I'm getting 15-20fps on a GT240 and a 2.8Ghz C2D, while I can play GTAIV on the mid 30s to 40s with medium settings. The game doesn't seem to be well optimised or something.
