In EP3, Gordon Freeman is gonna use the Borealis to return in time and space, and destroy the crystal used in Black Mesa that created the portal. No portal to Xen = No attack of the Vorts = No combine. (They came because they saw the Earth and humains were in a bad situation) This is probably not what is gonna happen but I wanted to share my opinion :)

You could see people living life like normal and walking on the streets, some birds flying around, and then the picture fades away as we see a crowbar lying in a coner... Ok just a big brainstorm xD
ok i have a hypothesis (i don't know much about the lore of borealis OK?) I think that in the apperature container was a giant version of the portal gun (kinda like a portal canon) and it misfired and took borealis and part of the dry dock. that's what i think

about 15 years later freeman arrives, still wearing his lab coat, "he's here," you say,

@ExesAndOwes the borealis was build by apeture science vessel so it seems it the company in portal who made chell and the portal gun so they must destroy it so like the portal gun doesnt make another combine invasion and also the borealis is supposibly Black Mesas Rival enemy and they created a better technology so they dont want it to destroy the world again

I suspect HL2 EP.3 will be kinda like ep 1. I think that EP3 will JUST be Getting to the borealis, and mabye ep4 is being in the borealis. much like how in HL2 EP1 you are just escaping the city. And in HL2, and HL2 ep2. you are driving alot, just to get to the places. mabye in EP3 you are driving the helicopter?

@HaloAceChaosLord - It's not an official song--it's a remix of "Triage at Dawn", which was in Half-Life 2 and I think maybe the beta of one of the games (probably HL2). But it is beautiful... they should put it in the game! It's one of the nicest pieces of music I've ever heard based on HL music.
Actually this song was one of the intro music pieces for HL2 while it was in beta, all intro music was removed after the initial leak and this song was cut up and put into the game as an 18 second sound.
