Ow Sega. Why don´t you give us an Phantasy Star with this modern presentation but old school gameplay? At least a special edition. C´mon, Final Fantasy XIII is on the scene to prove that turn based model is not dead.
PS is a great franchise and surely fans around the world still keeping their good memories about PS 1 to 4...just as we did about Sonic and the gameplay revived throu Sonic Generations.
I like that the music has part of the original PSO theme in it. I'm still a bit disappointed that Beasts aren't in it, though. I liked having a race proficient in each main stat, so now we're missing either attack or accuracy. It seems like Casts would have an unfair advantage if they follow PSO's method of high attack and accuracy. I'm sure it's been balanced, but I still favor Beasts above anything else. I also don't like going back to fixed classes and class costumes.
@lostinseganet Yes, the PC allows for the game to be better graphically, and certainly graphics are important. However, they aren’t making this game to show off a tech demo, they want to make a game for everyone to enjoy. Sakai wants players to feel the sensation of surprise, discovery, and adventure once more. Not only does he want to capture those familiar to the series, but he wants to introduce a game that’s fun and interesting to those inexperienced with online games.
@djecliptik This was started to allow players with PCs to readily play the game. There’s no need for you to think that you need the latest PC to play because the game’s graphics can be adjusted. PSO2 faces many challenges and one of the challenges is to focus on those who don’t play PC games. (Since people are misinterpreting this, it means to convert those who are unwilling or afraid to play PC games. This has nothing to do with a console version.)
@FOmarKaizoku I'm seriously considering remaking my Newman Guntecher, Rald Vand'tael, circa PSU (shoot me, it was my first PS game). In terms of skillset he was a Ranger with Resta/Reverser and all of the buffs; basically a White Mage with a gun.
