Magnífica grabación. Tengo el CD original del concierto en Atenas con Farantouri,Pandis y el Coro Nacional de Francia. Ese concierto de Atenas se realizó ante la imposibilidad de efectuarlo en Santiago en septiembre de 1974.
The lead singer is Arja Saijonmaa, who is a Finnish singer/actress, living nowadays mostly in Sweden. She has made a lot of excellent recordings in many languages. Wonderful! What a shame that she's not mentioned even in tags... She certainly deserves it.
Canto General is always a very impressive concert. I am very happy to see a video taken in Santiago, a place were it should have been seen already 1974... The singer is very great, even if - after my opinion - Maria Farantouri is the all time voice in that concert.

She is Arja Saijonmaa, from Sweden. This song is on poems of Pablo Neruda. The poems deal with the conquest and commercial operation of sudamerica.
