  • Do the geared locomotives have both operating couplers or just the rear one?

  • Both front and rear.

  • it looks like Mower Lumber Co. shay 12

  • i agree fully

  • I think, in part, you answered your own question! :) But seriously, they quite often use the same whistles in both the RK and Premier models of the same locomotive.

  • this engine has the best whistle. how come mth give the best whistle to the most expessive ones and not the railking ones

  • Nice model! Most of the sounds are verry good however the whistle could use some inprovement.

  • When did C&O have shays???i don't remeber that:S

  • C&O had ~16 shays on the roster, all retired by ca. 1923. They were used to drag coal over the mountain at Cabin Creek, WV, primarily. (This is a few miles from where I grew up.)

  • That is a beautiful whistle.

  • Where can you find MTH shays? I can't locate them on the website?

  • The Chesapeake & Ohio had Shays?

  • Yay it did!

  • call it "poetic license" LOL

  • nice c&o loco

  • only one thing wrong though... THE REAL #6 doesn't have a DIAMOND SMOKESTACK!!!!!!

  • This was one of MTH's first shay's. They redid them later on in 2005-06 to make them more accuret to the prototypes.

  • are you talking about shay 6 in Cass WV?
