Let me tell you, Mike Bloomfield lived the blues. He was a man who was genuine. He told the truth and in the end, he was a was a good and very simple man who realised the blues in his life at the end. The way he always wanted it.
Does anyone have "Drunk Again" - its one of the absolutely BEST blues songs around!!! Pleeeeeease upload it so we can all enjoy this incredible song again.
@oldbump - I'm so glad to see that there are still people who know this amazing album. It's one of the most astonishing things I ever heard. It just blew me away when it came out. And as for Mike Bloomfield -- I'll never get used to the idea he's dead. He had so much more brilliant music in him.
FYI there is a book about Michael Bloomfield It is just interviews from everyone that knew and loved him. It is a great book about a great man get you will love it!!!
Ive been looking online for Paul Butterfield's Better Days. Namely a song called 'It all comes back'. I saw it awhile back on youtube but it has since disappeared. If anyone has a link pls let me know.
@6mindless6scarecrow6 Don't worry, when you talk about musicians from Chicago there's still Herbie Hancock, Benny Goodman, Gene Krupa, Nat King Cole, Albert Ammons, Gene Ammons, Lionel Hampton, Meade Lux Lewis, Johnny Griffin, The Staples Singers, Ramsey Lewis, and Earth, Wind and Fire that came out of Chicago, just to name a few.
This is the shit, without any pop culture filter for poseurs or anyone else who doesn't/won't/can't understand. It may take many forms and be channeled through many people of many backgrounds, but the blues is there, all by itself.
65 or 66 right?

Blues Power!! Great to hear the truth.
The world needs to hear Son House's words--deep.
Mike Bloomfield was a true sould--his words about the Blues crossing over race/ethnicity. Thank God for such a great gift.

I'm proud to be from Chicago from this. Fall Out Boy, OKGO, and The Smashing Pumpkins are all well and good, but they all lack soul.
