@anthraxlordofhate Hm... anything to know? Well, you probably have the game by now, but expect to be ROFLstomped by the enemies a good number of times and don't let it get to ya'. The game's set up to be unfair to the player with the understanding that you'll grind levels and upgrade your equipment.

@Dayadvance3 You'll be able to edit the face data for a character a few dungeons after you get the Magic Circle. Note, though, it's just the face. Your character's body is dependent on the armor and items they're using.

@Draeka Understandable. I personally love the retro-styled games, but that may just be because I spent my entire childhood with this stuff. As for androgynous RPG characters, I can understand your complaints there. Of course, there's the complete opposite end of the spectrum, which you've touched on. But yeah, opinions, opinions. How do you get New-geon? I was told there was a Add - on DLC but I dont see it in there. then I was told to Get the Demo First then Full Game. But I dont see a Demo ver of the game

@HazsoToD To unlock the Ran-geon you need to complete the initial story. You'll know you're at the end of the story when you see it: the dungeon is quite blatantly named "Last Boss". Finish that and the New-geon will unlock.

This is true. Z.H.P. is way too addictive for its own good too. I just need to find a few quiet hours to start my Cladun Let's Play. Of course, as I see it, a fun game is a fun game no matter what it looks like. The characters could be Atari-styled squares and as long as the gameplay was solid I'd keep playing. Hm... that gives me an idea for a character.

@TheDarkAngelHate It was a lucky drop in the Ran-geon. Hit a gate that boosted mob level by 30-ish, killed one (somehow) and got the Dragnade.

@Chronosv2 Can't you also buy it from the store? i bought it at the store went to "for regulars" then bought one with something like 18 atk for like 6k G. My main guys were lvl 38 i think at the time

@waflezinc You can, once your level is high enough. I got lucky and got it at a much lower level though. I was somewhere in the single-digit to early teen levels, and what I posted above happened.

have you ever went into a Angel Gate and had your item drop rate and rarity jump 30 to 40 counts ??? it has done that to me twice, relatively early in my ran-geon expo, I was thinking if it was triggered (time maybe or clearing all the enemies on the stage) or is it entirely n completely random ?? any info would be appreciated

@stillstandin4you I honestly think it's random. I've noticed though that the chances of the numbers going higher go up when Demon or Hell gates turn into Angel Gates. I've gone straight to the exit and I've done my best to clear out floors and haven't gotten boosts like that.

@Shenrien I'm curious about the new Lufia remake, but I'll be waiting until I own a 3DS to get it. Right now I have PSP stuff and other console games to get. But yeah, I think I can see what you mean, especially with the character art style.

@007Scapula The game is challenging, but for the story dungeons all you need to do is remember where the boxes you need to open are and the enemies you need to kill to open the exit and it's simple enough. It's all just a matter of "banging your head against a wall until it works" most of the time. Either that or if that doesn't work try a different character class.

what level are your characters now and did u get any new good magic circles or rares?

@ArtisticSense Not really. I've found that as it stands the best circle a friend and I have found is gotten early on called "Bump". There are plenty of bonus spaces and you get Mana x2 modifiers, meaning you can put all your expensive stuff in. Can't remember what class gets it though. I want to say Warrior or Dragoon though. As for equipment, running around in Mystic armor. Slows you down but the defense is nice enough.

@ArtisticSense I think you're trying to make this game into something it's not. While DLC would be fun, the game is geared to mimic the retro style where storyline was just sorta' there. As for infrastructure with voice chat, that would be overkill, and would definitely kill the game's feel in my opinion. Cladun is Cladun, and Cladun is a lot of fun as it is.

In short, I disagree with the need for more stuff.

@ArtisticSense The New-geon is a Ran-geon mode unlocked after you finish the game. It has different mechanics for how it works in terms of floors and a couple other things. As for swords, no idea. I'm still using the same old Dragnade.

@ArtisticSense Once you unlock the New-geon you've finished the main story. Took me maybe 20 hours. As for making money, the New-geon seems decent at that as long as you escape rather than dying. You'll know the final storyline dungeon when you see it.

Dude, how does it work? I know u can make your own character, that means that even if you find some better armor, your appearance won't change. However, finding different weapons and shield change your appearance, right? If you know what I mean.

Eh, simply, weapons and shield have models and armor does not. When you change your appearance, you can't change appearance of your weapon and shield. Am I right?

@TheMightyLukas Weapons, armor and shield all change with the equipment you have on. The only thing you actually customize are the face, and through changing the skin color in the dot edit mode does the character's skin color change.

@TheMightyLukas Glad to be of assistance. Cladun is an amazing game, and I would highly recommend it. Yes, the story isn't the longest in the world, but I'm 24-ish hours in and trying to get as far as I can in the New-geon. Speaking of which, I really need to get some more videos going.

The baby dragons drain their HP when they attack, so you could have just ran around them every time they attacked, and let them kill themselves.

@CastilloArnulfo Interesting. I must not have been paying attention when the game informed me of that. Or I forgot. I'm not sure which. Anyway, thanks for the advice. Next run I make I'll give that a try.
