You should take a tour of a vehicle assembly plant. From what I have seen once a car rolls off the line the car is immediately started and revved up to redline and then the car is put into drive and it then peels out and drives over 12 really big speed bumps at a high rate of speed.
Maybe don't buy a car that isn't meant for LOL 0-60 IN 4.2 BRO if you wanna go LOL 0-60 IN 4.2 BRO. Just saying. I got a 2011 Dodge Caliber Mainstreet and for the sticker price, you can't really get a better deal if you're a "normal" driver that doesn't need to floor it at every red light to compensate for something.
The first part of your comment made no sense. This video isnt even a 0-60 acceleration. It shows what every driver does with their car on the highway... pass a slow moving vehicle and obviously the CVT in the caliber makes it FAIL at passing another car. Its a POS... sorry but its 2011 and there are much better choices out there then this junk!
Probably bc you've never driven the competition... take anything else out for a drive (2012 Focus, Elantra, Civic) and you will quickly realize that the Caliber is lackluster in acceleration, fuel economy, interior quality, and styling. All its got going for it is the cheap price, but you get what you pay for.
can u guys just stop hating my sister has a 2010 dodge caliber sxt, n it runs great for a four cilinder car, and it looks kind of styush, she is a unevirsity of arizona student, and this car runs the deal, and does the job right...... do you guys even drive yet?? well i can tell you drving is not about " having a v8

A better American compact car thats just as cheap as this Caliber would be a Ford Focus. Sorry but its just fact, the caliber is the worst compact car on the market today. It doesn't even get good gas mileage, I drive them everyday and it only gave me around 25 overall.
I'll get depressed driving this. I hope Fiat puts Chrysler thru a huge overhaul. With a CVT i'd assume break in periods could be done in half the time with the engine revving like that.

SO for every Chrysler vehicle... the owners manual no longer tells you to avoid full throttle starts, hard braking, and long drives in stop and go traffic for the first 600 miles?
My 2008 charger goes up to 140 and its way faster getting to max speed then this garbage charger you have
