It's a drum trigger being basically used as a contact mic, thrown over the built-in speaker of that little toy.

What is that little pink thing? Is it a toy guitar? Anyway, a nice, rhapsodic piece of videography, Tom (or should I call you Izzy?)... the ceiling fan is a nice touch.

It's a Guitar Hero toy (free cereal prize?). three fret buttons and a "strum" bar, with a little speaker on the back.
