This was a protest song against Apartheid (White Supremacist rule) in South Africa. AON was ahead of the curve by taking a stand before it was "cool" to do so by mainstream artists.
@NicanTlacaUniversity Actually, that's not true. AON were in no way ahead of the ball on trendily hating apartheid. If you didn't think that South Africa's political and racial set up was bad by *1986*, then you were never going to think that. Christ, we Kiwis were actively raging against the bastards en masse five years before that, and even this was shockingly late to the 'Oh wow, apartheid is wrong? Really? Guess we should stop selling them weapons and buying their fruit'' table.

I remember hearing it for the first time in 1986 and, ignoring my landlord's wishes, turning it up as loud as I could just to feel the awesome lows and highs. Thanks for posting!!
Allright so what is making this song so metaphysical for us? I think it's still alive inside our minds. And as long as we don't forget it's revolutionarity for that long it'll stay alive for the next generations as well...
South African, inspired this tragic track. thank the godz this is not Peter Gunn. and doesnt go anywhere but down. to reach emotinal depths for those who have a soul.

Sorry... this really is noise... Peter Gunn was awesome but they just don't go anywhere with this at all. Maybe it could be used to torture terror suspects into confessing instead of waterboarding them?

I always preferred this side of AON more than their poppier side. It showed the true depths of their capability and they were ahead of their time.

AON was ahead of their time, this time, any time. The music world would be suffering deeply now if not for them.

@Rep0007 You do realise that AON was primarily an avant-grade(meaning artful experimental) band.
