The song surprisingly matches the anime. IF you listen, and don't think about the love song part, I mean. I mean, from the sound of it (Since we are english and just like listening to this, since we cannot understand it) it doesn't sound like a love song. So. Just enjoy it ^^

I think it was the last 3-4 episodes from Mononoke. Mononoke seems to go in stories that require more then one episode to tell. The one with the subway was the last story arc.

Thanks for your kind words! The song is sung in swedish by the singer Nanne Gronvall. The title translated into english is 'If you were mine.'
