The songs on the two Maiden albums were great, the problem was Steve Harris wrote all those songs in the same key he used for Bruce Dickinson. If he actualy wrote those songs for the that Blaze sings in those two albums would of been perfect. Either way, it's great to see Blaze is not only still at it, but also making great music.

Nice vid... and awesome live performance. I've seen Blaze live in 2000 and 2009 and the later one in a small club with a handful of people... the energy flow between the band and audience, WOW! It sure was great to stand just a armlenght away from them :D

The vocals on this song are particular monotonous. There are relatively few bands who can pull off monotony with any degree of success - Layne Staley of Alice in Chains. I agree Blaze's voice is thick and deep here, and much better than the Maiden years. But what's his range? Like 1 octave? Not impressive. And it doesn't go well with heavy death/thrash at all.

His range during his career has been 4 octaves from his bane days where halford pitch screams were abundant

Listen to the rest of this album then.. Blaze's vocals are a little bit of an acquired taste, but they aren't that hard to like. And he sure as hell isn't mediocre... Monotonous though, sure - sometimes. But the quality of his voice more than makes up for it.

Tbh, I can't say I like his singing much here either. Try Stare at the Sun, Regret, While You Were Gone, or Smile Back at Death. If you don't like his vocals after listening to those, well, that's just you.
