  • those were the daus

  • I love it's a knock out

  • They need to repeat all the Jeux Sans Frontiers/It's an Knockout on Sky Tv on the sky channel 125 Challenge tv that would be so great with Stuart Hall and his uncontrollable laughter

  • To think we have to put up with X Factor tripe, Eurovision etc...

This show was epic entertainment for all the family. Great 70's memories.

  • I used to piss myself laughing at this. Those costumes were seriously odd, but in a hilarious way. This, of course, predates Mr. Blobby, but to my mind at least, it's the same thing. So, I think it could do well, nowadays, if compensation for injury didn't rear it's ugly head.

  • sorry for the grammar mistakes:)

  • It was the greatest show I've ever seen. I'd like to see it again...What do you think, can we reach to restart it? maybe with the petition which started on 2007???

    did you sign it?

  • Yeah... To heck with the broken bones !!!

This was some of the best family entertainment in TV history (in my opinion).

"Total Wipeout" just isn't quite the same, no matter how much we might all love "The Hamster" and his bad-hair-days.

  • I agree. Total Wipeout isn't a patch on this.

  • great stuff, wonder where all the costumes went to?

  • Does any one have the actual clip where Stuart is saying "The Belgians are coming" that would be really funny

  • Indeed they have to bring it back. I realy realy loved this.

  • Good memories too, but if it came back now I would envisage health and safety issues and the rise Central and Eastern European soft porn culture dominating proceedings. "Paintball the teenage Moldavian lesbians as they tongue kiss" etc

  • ditto ,bring it back

  • Why don't they scrap the Eurovision Song Contest and bring this back once a year?

It'd probaboy do more for international unity than anything.

  • Just thinking the same thing!

  • @mutinyonthekitkat

You have hit the nail right on the head.

Why, oh why, did they have to scrap this absolutely hilarious and totally irreverent tv game show??? An absolute joy to watch which is more you can say for the appalling drivel they are throwing at us at the moment.

  • This was one of the first tv shows I remember seeing. The music here is bringing all back now. V funny.

  • those were the days -wonderfully funny. tv is depressing these days.

    atvmidlands uk

  • absolute clssic bring back the belgians and the penguins.

    knockout !!!!

  • It would be great to see Knockout/Frontieres back, but sadly in this day and age of Health and Safety red tape, can you really see most of those games being allowed? They will say it's too wet, too hard or too daft!!

  • Man... those where the good old day. I remember as young boy going complete crazt when i heared the intro for 'Spel zonder Grenzen'(= was is called in Holland). I miss does TV shows..

  • I so miss this programme Stuart Hall was fantastic his laughter was so infectious

  • when I was a small boy my village used to stop for watching the Jeux Sans Frontieres...and every children join to play like if we were in the real games. I am from Portugal and I wacht it on the summer vacations of mid 80´s to mid 90´s! I miss those days.

  • This is awesome. Like everyone else on here, brings back great memories. If they bring it back next year I hope the Brits compete and they bring back Stuart Hall. Thanks for posting!

  • Go on Doug, get in there!!I remember stuart hall pissing himself with the penguins and the russian dolls.hear hear, bring this back but stuart hall has to commentate, absolute legend!!

  • class. so funny. stewart hall made that show with his fits of giggles.

  • wtf is this?

  • Betskyuk, you are an absolute LEGEND. I've been searching high and low for this particular JSF theme tune and here it is. It brings back very fond childhood memories. If you have more from the 70's keep loading up the clips. Brilliant!

  • Takes me back to when we were allowed to stay up late and watch this.

  • i used to love this program!! a couple of my mate's parents took part in it in 1993 reprisenting wales! :) it looked like so much fun!

  • I bought the tape 2nd hand on ebay..i linked the penguin game to this, hope you dont mind.

  • no probs, i've still got a few dvds of jsf which i'm trying to get on you tube, but it'll be a wee while yet.

  • What memories... I used to watch jeux sans frontieres when I was a teenager in France. Thanks!

  • You know this is just about the only bit of jeux footage anywhere on the net...and the actual tape seems to be not available any more. could someone pretty please post the whole penguins sequence? from a jeux tragic.

  • i've got a few clips which i'll try and put on youtube,

but it might be a few days as my computer is playing up at the moment. stay tuned though

  • thanks very much betskyuk!

  • Yes we want to see people make an arse of themselves.
