what saddens me most is that them poor kids are fighting for a very faded future, nothing is secure in cuba, and they are still making this kids believe that it is actually worth the while to physically and mentally maltreat yourself. the kids do not know the truth and they are the most easy ones to brainwash, they are not the guilty ones and they should be given the opportunity to achieve something good in their future not lies and repression

I grew up in Germany, as a kid, I was too spoiled .... my father was two times national champion in the bantam weight in germany and was in olympia ..... he had a tough childhood ... at 18 I started to boxing and I quickly realized that it's too late .... I've missed all the important years

they do go pretty hard with them considering their age BUT there is not a single kid in Cuba taking crack and robbing drug dealers for a living so maybe it's not such a bad idea...

cristian's father was teasing his son, which is why the lad smirked. the dad was a better boxer than his son will probably ever be too but that wasn't really what he was getting at. saw the lad box a few months ago, well an interclub sparring sort of thing, but i'm waiting to get the video off a mate.

i lived in cuba for a year pal & have spent time there on other occasions, yes there is crime like in any other country of the world (although it is a very safe country with very little serious crime) but NO there are not any kids taking crack and robbing drug dealers for a living. i totally and utterly do not accept that.

i won't call you a fool but i do think that you misconstrued what i said and probably have no actual real knowledge of the country.
