  • Yeah, that doesn't look good at all. Espresso isn't supposed to look blonde like that. Coil1969 is giving some good advice. And actually, there's a hard-to-see line inside the chamber that you fill the water up to. You're not supposed to fill to the top rim.

  • Almost forgot. Take off the plastic bottom cover with spouts. Extract without it. Very very important for temperature control. It is called a "naked" shot. Cheers.

  • 1. One must use a decent tamper with 30 lbs of pressure.

    2. Preheat everything prior to brewing.

    3. Grind must be adjusted for 25 seconds extraction.

    4. Double shout should have ~ 14 grams of coffee per 2 fluid oz of water as marked.

    Only then one will get really good shot.

    Your extraction was a way too quick which I am sure resulted in watery shot.
