If you have any broken cheek and tongue lining, gargle with some warm salt water for a week or two until the new lining has formed and stay off the pipe until then. As for work, you might consider working at min. wage. It's a downer, but you'll have money coming in. Good luck.

I sort of wish the DOL would just hand you a job to do instead of having all this competition. If you work out, then great, that's your job, if not, you get another assignment & try again. None of this unemployment check for sitting around, waiting. Too many lazy people doing this right now.
@MrSmokeGuy It's a little more intense than tongue bite. It extends to my gum & jaw a bit around the inside part of my interior mouth around the mid to lower mandible. It actually feels much better today, I think it was just really irritated from the dryness(& staleness perhaps?)of the tobacco. I've been icing it a bit & reminding myself to take it easy if I want to smoke again this week. :^) Thank you for the tips!

Hey Mate, try rinsing 3x daily with good old salt and warm (not hot!) water. Simple and really great for speeding up the healing.

Persevere and you'll find that job. On tongue bite, try rinsing with biotene mouthwash. You need to smoke slower than you think. Hang in there. :)
