So you would need a DAC pre-amp to use this device? I have an older pre/ poer set up so if I bypass the ipod's DAC I couldn't plug straight in to my pre-amo?
The Wadia 170i has analog and a digital output, so you can connect to a preamp using RCA cables, or if you have a coaxial digital input on your preamp, you can use that.
Pull this up on the Crutchfield website (just search for "170i" on the site and then click on 'Hands on Research" for all the info on the all the outputs on this model. Or call us at 800 315 0030.
