@shinznay Sorry to burst your bubble. But if you look to the right under "suggestions" you can see Madonna had her style back in 1981, before Cyndi Lauper even hit the scene. I know Cyndi loves to take credit for Madonna, but the truth is, Madonna is responsible for her success. I love Cyndi and all but some people don't get over things and maybe they could move ahead if they weren't so bitter and stuck to the past.

New generations, new stars, new songs.But the truth is, Madonna was the Biggest of all time. @Ocelot04 I hate Britney and I am not a fan of Christina even though she is a really talented singer she is not my cup of tea, I actually refer 80's and 90's artist and they are what I listen to. MJ, JJ, Cyndi Lauper, Whitney, Anita, TLC, Monica, Mary J blige, Prince, David Bowie I do like some of Madonna stuff, but she is not all that talented and she is over hyped and has always been overrated. Not saying she is a terrible or awful artist, but she is not all that great.

What was up with her hair they ask? Nothing original, she only stole the quasi-braid thing from Annabella of Bow Wow Wow who started doing it in 1980. The whole ragga-muffin look was copped from the punk rock girls who'd been doing it for a long time until she laid eyes on them (think Trash & Vaudeville). She's never done anything original in her life, just keeps hijacking looks and sounds from other people & things. That's OK though, I still like her anyway. LOL.

Glad you like her but I'm so tired of hearing how she "stole" this & that over the years. We ALL "steal" our looks, especially when we're younger (pre-teen/teen/20's). Most of my friends copied hairstyles & clothing styles from the popular models & celebrities of the day. Why is Madonna expected to be different? Back then, at least, she was LIVING that look. That's the way she walked down the street, the way she WAS in her everyday life. I rather miss that piece of her past life.
