I believe every country should have its own destiny if it wants it, not be dictated to by the evils of "Democracy" -which is corrupt to the hilt by the way (Take a good look at westminister and America!) So if Scotland want independance, let it be. Let us go our own way, make our own mistakes and learn from them, instead of being dictated to by some kind of "Big brother" government telling us what we can and cannot do! It's no elephant in the room at all - no-one has comitted to joining or staying in the EU post Independence. The SNP often point to the relationship Norway has with the EU and say that is the best model - free trade but no political union.

I said Independence should mean independence I didn't mention westminster just that there is little point in voting for the SNP if their idea of being independent is having 75% of its laws made in Brussels and not even having the right to fish it's own waters how it chooses.

The draw back with Scotland keeping Sterling is that the base-rate will still be controlled by London, but we can live with that. If we raise and spend our own taxes and get rid of Trident - we'll be happy people!

It would have vetoing powers that at the current point of time it has not. It would be able to attend every single meeting in the European Council on its own matters, which at the moment , it can not do.
