Because in Mexico they usually served in those kind of cups...thank you :)

  • Wow I didn't know there was so many ways to make Mexican shrimp cocktail. I still haven't found a video the way my dad made it. Nice video thanks for uploading!

  • Tapatio hot sauce is beastier

  • it looks so delish

  • yumm

  • cucumber is a MUST, flavour is much better!

  • what do u season the shrimp wit to give it flavor?

  • @Chewylicious18

    with larys seasoning salt

  • Nice recipe .. But some cilantro ketchup and tapatio... also u forgot another ingredient that gives a Mexican shrimp cocktail the best flavor ... Celery ... yeah celery diced chopped very good almost to a minced ...

  • What happened to the cilantro and ketchup?

  • Ur the man!

  • Thanks for the info!!!

  • Excellent presentation but that glass cup is huge! I would have used 2 to 3 times more shrimp if not then you spend the whole time bobbing for shrimp. It's a lot of work so don't be stingy with the shrimp, a splash of strawberry or orange soda gives it an Acapulco accent. Oh and my favorite salsa is Castillo Habanera salsa it gives it flavor and boy does it spice it up so take it easy.

  • I forgot to say where's the cilantro? And TAPATIO!! not cholula haha (:

  • Wow an actual real recipe for this delicious dish the other videos I have found are just weird this is the way my mother taught me muy delicioso

  • Nice recipe bro but i just use clamato, cucumbers, cilantro and habanero sauce

  • EXCELLENT VIDEO! I APPRECIATE YOU THE HANDS ON APPROACH. HOW LONG DO I BOIL THE ALL READY COOKED SHRIMP AND WILL IT MAKE IT TOUGH?

  • You forgot some cilantro homie! Brings out flavor to the power of ten. For even a better taste look for "Amor" hot sauce and Habanero hot sauce. Be careful with the habanero though, unless you're like me that likes it eye watering hot. Great video though!

  • That was absolutely a great video..I am going to try this now.....Thank you so much!!

  • no ketchup...?

  • In Guadalajara I once had a shrimp cocktail that was served hot, and had a clear/whitish sauce and had a bit of a sweet taste. I never figured out how to make that.

  • Do you ever add octopus?

  • That

    Looks so delicious

  • Reading these comments o noticed too that he didn't put any ketchup or cilantro. Other then that good job.

  • yess.......

     my husband LOVESSSS cholula!

  • Cilantro is the best .. zazon! yumi yumi

  • It looks delicious, but you are missing one of the most important ingredients in a Mexican shrimp cocktail which is cilantro.

  • WHERE THE KETCHUP AT!!!

  • I've noticed that some people don't use cucumbers and i've also seen people who use orange soda as well. So what's the deal with that? Have you tried it with orange soda?

  • @SpcT0rres yes some people dont use cucumbers because they dont like the texture of it. and yes you can also add cubes of oranges to it it gives it a nice tang taste, and there is some peple who can eat shrimp so just leave out the shrimp juice and shrimp and make it a very good salad

  • @SpcT0rres and in regards to the orange soda it gives it a orange taste with some spritz

  • @sodierchefknowsbest I've also heard of beer. Haven't tried it yet, but try boiling your shrimp in chicken stock. It adds a lot of flavor to it.

  • @SpcT0rres not the original cocktail...

  • What about the cilantro?? Also, how do you cook the shrimp? Can I buy the shrimp already cooked?

  • @SpcT0rres you can ues cilantro just dont use to much it can over power it. i boil the shrimp in water with a little seasoning salt . and you can also buy them cooked but you want to boil them in water a little to add flavor and use the juice from the shrimp to make your mix.

  • exelente

  • Ingredients: 1 lb. shrimp 1 cucumber 1 tomato 1/2 purple onion 4-5 limes 1/2 cup of cilantro 2 celery sticks 2 avocados diced salt and pepper You can also use a bottle of shrimp cocktail sauce. Serve with tostadas and enjoy!
  • @yvell that sounds like ceviche except we dont use cocktail sauce in our mexican traditional dishes

  • yummy!!!

  • Great video, but you forgot to add cilantro in it. That's how we do it in Cali.

  • Looks good, chef..hook me up
