Same deal with mine it seems.

Was away from my computer for a few days which i left running. Came back and games were crashing straight away. Tried reinstalling windows clean and drivers the latest... no dice.

I think mines toast too, but its just an 8800gt which is now i think ~3-4years old at this point.

its not always broken...i got a code 43 right now on my gt440

but it started when i added 2 more gigs of ram...if i put only 1 stick in it...the code 43 is gone and i can play bf3...if i put it in...its fucked up again...

I have a 8800 GTS and crashed on 1.1.2012. My bios goes crazy every time I start the PC and those horizontal lines in windows are so sexy xD

I believe that the failure for crazy bios and horizontal lines is in the graphic memory. There realy isn't anything to do. If memory is overheated, clean the dust, replace the cooling paste in the cooling sytem and try again.

If it doesn't help, you're screwd and in need for a new card.

I have an EVGA 580 GTX that I bought two weeks ago, been running fine etc.

Then when I was on youtube, it crashed, and now Aero is disabled, I've tried installing drivers but nothing, I have sufficient power supply.

I Don't want to hear any fucking "I have this problem too, here are my tech specs as if anyone fucking knows". I'm running Windows 7 32 bit btw.

Just a little insight... I had this problem and just resolved it. It seems that the driver version is the culprit. I was trying to install 260.xx+ i went down to 186 and install went through with flying colors. For anybody else with this problem hopefully this will save you time I spent(hours) to figure it out. GL!

I have the NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT in my laptop and I just sent my laptop in for warranty work and got it back now I have this error. I'm so pissed that I gotta send it back in. But thanks for this video just confirming that it's fried. I was still holding onto the hope that I could fix it via update.

I've just updated to the latest driver and my 9800 gtx it's working just fine. Same error codee 43. Good luck to all!

i had a code 43 with my nvidia 8800gtx. I restored my pc to a few days before things went wrong rolled bk my graphics driver and then installed the latest version from the nvidia site. It now works just fine.

I know your Pain man, i got my 9800 GT eactly 2 years and 1 week ago. An today i last night i got code 43... Called Evga to try and claim the warrenty and it litterally just ended last week. An just like you i tried every fix out there but fact is the GPU on the card is dead. Sucks for us :C
