It's been shown that the Trichomes glands of a mature plant contains the majority of the cannabinoids. The thought is in the purity versus the carcinogenic properties of inhaling smoke of plant material. Actually I for one would not recommend trashing the plant material left over from this process. Eliminating the stems may still give you useable material by way of the left over bract.

I can't say that none of the plant (organic) matter gets through but it's so infinitesimal as not to detract from the quality of the kief. I believe this process is so much more efficient then the wet process and is less time consuming.

Hash is as pure THC as it gets, kief doesn't come close. Using the dry ice started with people dry-freezing their trim before making bubble hash with it. Because dry-freezing makes the tric's hard and brittle thus break off easier. Using dry ice in this method is just a step even further and letting science do all of the work for you.

As for purity... looks light enough to me, and the nice thing about dry ice extraction is you use get to use your product a few times over.. You have your varied degrees of screen and runs. Then whatever trim is left over you can toss into whatever you have going, butter/oil and get the rest of the benefit from the plant.
