Hi-end audio.... people slowly getting to see what is happening i.e. most music is focussed to sound good through a normal budget system. There is absolutely no need to get an expensive system, since digital is here.
Most hi-end systems sound awfull; no coherence, no feel, no nothing.
And yes I've been there. 2500 euro's is all that is needed to get a system that sounds extra special, more is a wast of money.
sounds good, but i dont think it merits its price tag though hence why im put off by alot of high end gear, you can do better for less and have more enjoyment from it.
The music has to be a mastered properly in a way that doesn't compress it heavily. If a speaker is designed to create the illusion of someone being there, the roxanne song is a good choice. bitch.
But they could play some real vocal-music, not that shitty(this word even exist in english? I'm from Poland and don't know much about THAT words <but i should:)>) cover...
Actually this music was from a German Hifi Magazin, they had a competition for the best sound of the show and issued it to let the visitors compare the different systems with the same "music".
Fair enough, although my comment was meant to be more general. The exhibitors play lots of terrible songs because they are very "hi-fi", people then go and buy the songs to showcase their systems and never actually listen to music!
