I really like Jim DeMint's views on most things. But when it comes to this, he's got it wrong.

To say, "They don't hate us because of our policies, but because of who we are and our way of life" is.... denying the obvious truth. I hate things about other cultures, but that's not enough to make me conduct terrorist attacks against them. But if they messed with us the way we've messed with them, or if they'd killed a child of mine, a radical American might be able to recruit me as a soldier.

Demint couldn't be more wrong about the motivations of the 9/11 hijackers, what DeMint is basically saying is US foreign policy is not the reason for the anger, muslims actually like being bombed, they hate us because we drink beer .

until people like DeMint grow up and stop acting like a child about this then nothing will be resolved, they attack us because of our foreign policy, NOT our values.

Well, I now disagree with DeMint on something. He's gotta use a little common sense to see the truth. They don't hate us because we're free people, they hate us because we are meddling in their affairs. If we stop meddling and then they still attack us then we need to fight them, and defeat them.
