@aDinoSupremacist The Federation uses antimatter warheads, which are much more powerful pound for pound than nukes. Since colossal antimatter explosions don't make for good theater, the torpedo explosions we see on TV and in Star Trek films are much smaller than "real" photon torpedo explosions.

Also, there are Klingons and Romulans assimilated by the Borg, but the Borg have no cloaking technology? And one cube is supposed to defeat a planet of 11 billion humans?

I've played this mod, and the only problem I could find is if you build a Borg Tactical cube, and your empire color is blue or something, the entire cube goes haywire

i never liked how during battles, the ships just sort of sit there while firing and duking it out. Theres no maneuvering (unless you manually move every single ship) and it makes the battles go a little stale.I dunno, I guess when I bought the game I was expecting more Homeworld 2 type of battles.

@dahoeb Couldn't you just move them yourself while they attack? that way you get some nice strafing runs and mobility as well as more tactical options.

i like how sins of a solar empire makes the borg nearly unbeatable unless you got a good team of all the other races. it makes it fair. since the borg are badass. it takes huge fleets for ONE borg ship. if the borg bring in a fleet you might as well stick you head between your legs and kiss your butt goodbye.

Its a game. In this version of the mod, the ships cannot maneuver and fire torpedoes simultaneously. The cube regenerates extremely fast, so if you let up it will be at full health in seconds. Therefore the only way to kill the cube is to take the hits and fire continuously.

That is true.

But, in the upcoming version they are working on for Entrenchment, they are adding fighter-style movement to all ships except the largest borg vessels.

And the borg will be a playable race.

Just put the files in there, start the game then activate in the options menu.

You will need to remove the 'galaxy' folder from the mod files to make it run on more recent versions.
