I think they should have him start over Michael Beasley. Beasley is a less effective Carmelo Anthony and even an effective Carmelo Anthony type player is detrimental to team chemistry. Derrick should start so he gets the experience and matures quicker. Then the Wolves should trade Beasley and get a good SG. Wesley Johnson was a bad pick.

@WonderBread006 Here's a solution: just move Kevin Love to Center, put Beasley at PF and develop Williams into a small forward and be a backup at power forward to Michael Beasley. In my opinion, Beasley has a higher ceiling of potential than Derrick Williams so I would take Beasley over Williams until Williams develops a better all-around game and develop shoting of the dribble outside the paint

Most young combo forwards end up playing strictly PF by the time they're 24, Lamar Odom and Josh Smith are good examples, even though this past year Smith has played some SF again. Beasley played all his minutes at PF in Miami and now he plays about half-half only because Kevin Love is there. Beasley's also a much more affective player at PF, atleast the stats say he is. I understand he has some good players around him like Carlos Boozer (when he shows up), Luol Deng, and Joakim Noah...however Rose carries that team. The Bulls don't win 60 games and gain the #1 seed in the east w/o Derrick Rose. The only other way the Bulls would be as good w/o Rose is if they had another elite PG like Paul, Westbrook, or Deron Williams. There's no way the Bulls are a playoff team if they have an average PG.

@TheOmegachron D Rose might be a bit overhyped, but he's a great player. Part of the reason the Bulls got eliminated was b/c Rose wasn't shooting well, another reason why is b/c nobody else on that team stepped up. Rose carries that team. Deng, Boozer, and Noah are good players, but they're not players who can carry a franchise. The Bulls would struggle to make the playoffs if they had an average PG like Johnny Flynn running the team.

@g0dlyk2 He's getting playing time. About 20 minutes a game. Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant and Dirk Nowitzki didn't see a lot of time in their first two years but look what they became. If he wants more playing time then he'll have to work for it and prove that he deserves it. He's becoming more confident and aggressive too so I think toward the end of the season he'll be averaging over 10 points a game and see more playing time. It's too early to say a coach is ruining his career.
