Actually - many of the children at Sun Village still have parents, just in prison. It's not actually an orphanage - it even says so on its website. So the title of this film, and the narration at the beginning is not entirely accurate. Which is a shame, because Sun Village is a great place and they are doing really great work there. Accuracy wouldn't have taken away from the subject matter.

I'm not sure. It would be good to educate your fellow Chinese about how easily it is to be executed - u can get the desath penalty for a kilogram of drugs sometimes, but also that nearly all executed people are poor.
To show that capital punishment is wrong, u have to look at whether the people being executed did their crimes b/c they have no remorse & are dangerous, or a just desperate. If farmer loses everything, & has to transport drugs to feed his children b/c State doesn't help now, etc.

this is true but it represents such a small part of the world's largest population. problems like these are not seen in other countries just because of shear size of china makes the problem so big. However this isnt right. i dont believe this world should be like this. There should be another way and innocent people shouldn't pay for mistakes of others, yet who is there to do something about it? I love china so much and it hurts to see kids same age as me suffer such a different fate.

Actually - many of the children at Sun Village still have parents, just in prison. It's not actually an orphanage - it even says so on its website. So the title of this film, and the narration at the beginning is not entirely accurate. Which is a shame, because Sun Village is a great place and they are doing really great work there. Accuracy wouldn't have taken away from the subject matter.

Not hard to work out....China has only 4 times as many people as the US, China executes 10,000 per year and the US about 40 executions (34% of are black which given the crime rates...). Per capita that is 60 times more executions in China than US!!! Very clear that the legal representation in China before given the death sentence is MUCH LESS than in the US, but in both mistakes are made and state sponsored death is wrong.

That's not true. America's wealth is mostly owned by its people (although a small group of people own a lot). The government gets wealth every year from taxes, which is spends that samee year.
The Chinese government actually has more wealth in the bank that it can do with that it likes. That's why faming villages become world class cities when the government decides to name them Special Economic Zones.

In China,death penalty is used to punish crimes like raping and drug dealing. People would be outrageous to find our a person who raped a little was not sentenced to death.

Anyway, these numbers are misleading. Human rights groups estimate that the CCP only reports 1/5 of its executions.
Also, Bahamas execute 2 people out of their 300,000 population annually. In a tourist/transient country where drugs are also produced, which also has a super rich neighbor...
Singapore is just terribly strict, but so is Malyasia, Indonesia, etc. Singapore is very wealthy and thus attracts crime also.

It really depends. I really doubt Chinese government execute on a whim or for fun. Many of the executed are criminals. It is sad to see children losing their parents. I am against all death penalty in any country
But to jones. I highly double China execute more people than all other countries combined, you have no reliable evidence to support that.

I'm not sure. It would be good to educate your fellow Chinese about how easily it is to be executed - u can get the desath penalty for a kilogram of drugs sometimes, but also that nearly all executed people are poor.
To show that capital punishment is wrong, u have to look at whether the people being executed did their crimes b/c they have no remorse & are dangerous, or a just desperate. If farmer loses everything, & has to transport drugs to feed his children b/c State doesn't help now, etc.
