Ummm, Gamo isn't located in the USA. It is in Spain. Ya'll should some a nice AirArms. I suggest a Prosport in either .177 for FT or .22 for hunting. I would go with .22 over .177 anyday.
I'm glad you did'nt get the bird it's so cruel. I have a B2 breakbarrel .22 rifle that fires at 561fps but the .177 does 755fps. Which do you reckon is better?
a 550 550fps rifle.. could kill a bird. alot eaiser if you had a scope.spec for it, i have a 545fps and 650fps both rifles. and the 545 can kill a bird 1 shot , it depends were you hit the bird really.. you said it cant , yeh probly if u had right aim.
what gun do you have? over here the maximum legal limit is 12 ft/lbs (which i have) im surprised you didnt kill the pigeon if yours is of similar power
its a 15 year old spanish gamo expo 2000. ive lost the spec sheet but i think the velocity is about 550fps. my rifle wouldnt knock a pigeon in one shot unless it was a head shot which i dont try to do at 20 metres with open sights. the only pellets ive got now are flat faced competition ones.
Decent shot from a spring gun. Cant be sure but I judge the distance at 8 meters. You should be grouping about .30 of an inch standing at that range with a .22. If you can do that ill be reasonabl impressed.
there were magpies,i dont believe it, 2:03/s of my life and it was just shooting a stupid tree stump.
