He doesn't know who her sister is, as that is only explained in the episode when she brings Minami's lunch to school, which hasn't happened yet. In that episode, the narrator explains that he'll explain how they met some other time...this episode. Why else would Himeji not be in their class yet?

@xLemonxCupcakex well you know they say that there are no new stories just rehashed versions of old ones. if you brake the plot and characters down enough it becomes one of three types of story. i will admit there are a large number of stories like what you described in funimation, but not all anime are like that, mostly just a minority. some are simple romances, comedies, hardcore action so on so fourth. any way this one is a really funny school life romance story. give it a chance.
