Arcade version is harder due to the fact that your other "extra" shields don't protect you from most projectiles while your main round force also is weak to specific projectiles. Most of the time, those projectiles will fire faster than your ship can move.
i loved this game to bits. got some unexpected money after 2weeks work experience with school in 1988 and splashed out on the big box version. got to level 6 a few times but never completed it.
the front attachment is a fantastic bit of kit and is brilliant for protection and taking out enemies. good luck with the rest of the game...use the force!

i thought this had a level 7?! maybe i did complete it then. i know the arcade went up to a level 7 as i got to it a few times on a single 10p.
