Aerosmith wishes it had a legendary sound. Sadly few groups ever attain to that and those who do today are soon shoved under a rug by the musi mogul old farts club who are trying to use it to control the population amongst many other things
Aerosmith has ripped off alot and they existed alot more on hype than literal greatness. And no remarks from herd mentality aerosmith fans will be read and won't change my statement BAH HA HA HA HA HA HA
Can you judge a man, By the way he wears his hair? Can you read his mind, By the clothes that he wears? Can you see a bad man, By the pattern on his tie? Could you tell a wise man, By the way he speaks or spells? Is this more important, Than the stories that he tells? And call a man a fool, If for wealth he doesn't strive? Can you condemn a man, If your faith he doesn't hold? Say the colour of his skin, Is the colour of his soul? Could you say that men, For king and country all must die?
@BeavertailBadDog I'm not an Aerosmith fan. I never though they were very good. And I never understood their popularity. But I listened to the song in question and you are correct, it's a ripoff. I guess the rest of the song was different enough for denial. BTW, if Aerosmith were to get up on a Fire Truck Extension Ladder they still couldn't kiss the Yardbirds Ass.
@pipefitter0127 terry knight used to perform on a tv show from cleavland up beat with the like of the yarbirds deep purple the blue project and a byds imitation called the creatures he may have inadvertantly contributed to the paul mcartney is dead rumours with a record called sir paul
Jeff Beck's solo on this is one of the best in the sixties. Especially in 1965 when this song was done nothing could touch it or compare!! Only my opinion of course = )
Check out Randy Holden's version of this song with 'the sons of Adam'. His guitar work destroys Beck's !

I'm not the only one who realized that Steve Tyler totally riped off this song for Aerosmith's "Livin' On the Edge" am I?
