  • This was an amazing game. It was my favorite game for the Virtual Boy when I was a kid. I liked the system a lot but they couldn't market the damn thing so it ended up being a flop.

  • Nintendo, please bring this out for the 3DS and adding color would be nice too.

  • Did anybody else feel that this thing was blinding you when you played it?

  • These games were suppose to be 3-Dish.. right?

Why dont Nintendo release these on the e shop for the 3ds?

  • Cyclops from X-Men got his powers from playing this game for days on end.

  • It was what is was for it's time and that is a shitty piece of red junk that gave you headaches.

  • no sound?

  • ''Mario in hell'' Is better name of this

  • Bloody Mario Clash.

  • never new it exsisted i hear they tryed to make it 3d

  • this mario gonna be "the new Mario from 3dS" XD

  • how about sound

  • ???

  • Haha, this is the game that came with mine and I couldn't figure out how to kill the larger spiked enemies....if only I would have watched the demo!

  • why... is... everything so... red???

  • @astroboirap It's red because for the Virtual Boy, to show 3D, it places 2 2D images made with red lights (I know, weird idea), that's why it's all red, the other colors were different types of red.

  • @SteamHacker38 the other colors would'nt mix to make 3D

  • 666

  • wow this looks like a cool fun easy game I WANT IT

  • world's first 2.5D game?

  • OMFG I SOLD MINE LAST YEAR CUZ I DIDNT KNOW WHAT THE FK IT WAS NOW I WANT IT BACK!

  • Watching the intro, the music from it is playing in my head lol

  • WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THIS? I WANT IT

  • oh shit man that game looks like it would have been awesome

  • I imagine that with the actual console it's easier to tell the foreground and background layers apart.

  • I got up to level 42 then ran out of lives. This game is actually kinda fun if you actually sit and play it for a while. But it does get hard.

  • cool why did they get rid of virtual boy? What is the object of Mario clash?

  • Unfortunately, people were having seizures and suing Nintendo...

Others got really bad headaches or nauseous.

So at the end of the day, people weren't really sold on the idea :P

  • It doesnt look as cool as playing it on the actual system but its fun

  • what if the Virtual boy was blue and white ?

  • How did you make the recording so sharp?

Is this a recording of an emulator?

  • Despite the red thing, the graphics don't seem that bad.

  • is there sound?

  • If you get Vibe on your Macintosh there is.

  • I just bought one of these! It didn't work so I returned got another one and guess what? it doesn't work either!

  • Really? I have 3 of them and they all work. What happened with your's?

  • I bought 3 and they didn't work. finally I got one that worked. The screens were all messed up

  • Oh, I see. It must have that common problem with the internal lens. Maybe you could get them repaired.

If you look up Old School Gamer (OSG), maybe the gentleman can repair it. Obligation isn't free with the Virtual Boy, but the work that's done is great. Right now I'm dealing with him on a Colecovision that needs AV and S-video connection. He's pretty cool.

  • @adog262 awesomecdiperson bought a pirate junk xD

  • Yeah I know, like really! XD

Although the Virtual Boy is an awesome system to collect (for games like Teleroboxing, Red Alarm, Panic Bomber, etc), all gamers have to be careful before buying stuff on Ebay.

Often times the sellers would only test the product for a couple of minutes, which is insufficient to see if it works 100%.

The Virtual Boy is pretty durable, but it has one design flaw: the focus switch can slip the video lens off. For that reason, best not to use the focus at all.

  • ugh... too red. but looks alright otherwise.

  • You can beat this game if you get to 999,999 points!! I cannot do this with a battery pack. I need to concentrate one day and have plenty of time. Because you can't continue another day!

  • use an ac adapter

  • Does anybody still have one of these i remember playing the mario tennis when i was like 8

  • my freind does

  • i do

  • man , i actually love this game , but i cant play it , wanna know why ? because the emulators are so FACKIN SHITTY

  • You mean because you're too FACKIN SHITTY to get the emulators to work.

  • This system doesnt suck. i still got mine in mint condition. I wish they wouldnt have cancelled it. a zelda game for this woulda been tight. BTW I have this game. Its too dang hard lol. Is this particular game beatable? This game is hard cuz you cant save on this one.... They should make something like this for the will but in color...

  • nintendo had already achieved psuedo-3d fx with the snes, what with parallax and the super fx, the virtual to felt like a sort of step back, even though some of the games were really fun

  • Boy.Virtual Boy's pretty low-tech but neat

    game.

  • Looks like an awesome game. It's a shame Virtual Boy was so bad. It to bad it wasn't a color system, and that it didn't have anything to do with virtual reality

  • Mario clash is nothing more then a horrid Mario Bros. remake, with sloppy controls, repetitive gameplay, and the fact that there's 99 levels tells me that nobody on earth has managed to beat this game without taking a break. Whoever says they have is lying. you can't beat this game without having a seizure or going blind.

  • @Tornado1994 yeh i agree,i actually dont know why they made mario clash.they were actually making a virtual boy mario land which was a super mario game . they cancelled taht and decided to just make a mario bros remake instead.my guess is that they were still working on the mario land game and it never got completed because the virtual boy was cancelled in a year.

  • @neddx yeah

  • @neddx yeah unlike the 3ds does have soemthing to do with reality

  • @neddx you put goggles on to play it, without a tv screen, that's kinda like virtual reality

  • i dont get how it's 3D

  • you gotta see through the thing with BOTH eyes to get its 3D. when people record they can only record through one lense. which doesnt really give it its 3dness

  • yeah i figured that out after XD

someone posted it with the 3D ness of both lenses and yeah i got the idea :)

  • now ur smart

  • ur stupid

  • im really tired of people complaining that this system sucks. yes some parts of it suck but cant you understand this was released more then 10 years ago? its true the n64 came out in 1995 too but who cares. Its actually a pretty good system besides barely any games. and the fact that everything is red

  • The N64 came out in '96. Not '95.

  • @Xenfair i think it's pretty awesome. the only thing i hated was that it took 6 freakin AAs

  • @Xenfair lol thats like saying cancer is pretty good besides the fact that it kills you very painfully!

  • @Xenfair agreed , mario clash was great.

  • @Xenfair This system WAS genuinely bad and it doesn't get a pass for simply being old. It was a bad idea with poor execution that never worked the way it should have.

The system has almost nothing redeeming about it.

  • The essence of the VB games is impossible to watch in a standar screens like the ones of our PC's...The 3D sensation is loosed here, without the two VB's lens effect.

I reccommend get one to prove it!!!! ;)

  • Actually, there is an emulator that has an option for 3d glasses. So it IS posible to watch on a standard screen.

  • T his is very hard 2 see.

  • Dude VB does have sound.

  • Why doe the VB have no sound?

  • It does. The person who uploaded this couldn't record the sound.

  • no sound

  • it reminds me of mariobros, asswell.

it,s probebaly the first 3d mario game!!!

  • Thats actually not entirely true.

I'm pretty sure that Super Mario RPG for SNES was the first.

  • Lol, there was no rendering in Super Mario RPG... All spritage.

  • But it WAS in 3D! the Sprites were!

  • No Super Mario 64 is the true 3D Mario Game.

  • It used pre-rendered graphics but close enough. Super Mario RPG looked incredible at the time. Still looks pretty good. Man, Mario 64 was amazing though. I didn't play Virtual Boy, so I can't say about this game.

  • The game probably has no sound so we won't be hurting our ears as well as our eyes.

  • You know..... my god..... that did look a little 3D.

  • u idiot its only thru one lens u gotta look thru both of them to see the 3-d nessssss

  • It still looks 3D.

  • Thanks for uploading! It sure it amazing that just a year after Nintendo produced this, the greatest game ever made (in my opinion) , Super Mario 64, was released.

  • I agree, they should have realeased all the games they were making and maybe with some luck more people would buy it even thought the console was a bit exepnsive
