  • very good from Australia

  • is she single? =P

  • Dig that hammock xylophone! O_O

  • She has mad skills! That's awesome!!! I can't help but want to try my hand at all of those cool instruments. They sound beautiful!

  • actually i found one from a better angle and it does have a pipe like construction on the other side.

  • The second seems to be like a suspended marimba (a big xylophone for those of you with no musical background), but unlike a marimba it lacks pipes, thus it lacks the same resonance.

  • great playing

  • Her back must hurt after a while by playing the first instrument.

  • @Pestinha92 lol you would think maybe they would make it at a comfortable height. Maybe they played sitting down or they were really short

  • Super

  • i want the 2nd instrument!!!!!! what is?? where i can buy it?? how can i make one??

  • @dawidh22

Sorry, I am unable to answer your questions. I assume it is a traditional Vietnamese musical instrument and perhaps you should do some research on the internet, to find out more about it

  • @dawidh22 It's the same thing as a marimba, but it's not mounted on a frame, it's hammock style. You can make it yourself actually, it'll take you some time though in order to get every bar cut properly.

  • @dawidh22 It's Dan T'rung. You can search it on the the internet. You can buy in Viet Nam. I think it's difficile for make one.

  • @dawidh22 - I was thinking the very same thing! SO... a big thank you to dodobanful. It is an instrument I have the space for so I'll be checking it out

  • @dawidh22 It is called T'rung, it is an bamboo xylophone instrument of ethnic minority groups in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. I don't know where you can buy it outside Vietnam. Cheers!

  • @dawidh22 Hey, if you wanna make one yourself I think its best for you to know where the nodes are on the key.

A node: is 22,5% from each end,... and also is the Spot where the bamboo "Won't Vibrate",... and so there you will attach your rope to hold it in place. Else it ain't gonna make a good sound or maybe nothing at all(except the [click] of you hitting it).

Atleast now everyone who wanna make one knows that each piece got nodes(at 22,5% and 77,5%).

    Take care.

  • @dawidh22 its just a xylophone man.
