That's not the point. That was one song, the first one they did where Ian was tired of seeing kids passed out at shows at the Ontario Theater. The idea took on a life of its own and this massive untrue mythology sprang up around Ian, MT and then Fugazi.

Ian used to drink beer, and fuck chycks. He was no monk. He did go Vegan, has been all this time.

This was all about living in DC and the crap there.

I wasn't meaning to be insulting, I love Ian's shout, I think it's the best vocals of all hardcore Punk, It's passionately intense, and is absent of the nasal bratty-ness that most punk vocals have. It's a voice I can take seriously.
