  • Lovely, nice to see the insects and wildflowers together. My personal highlight was the burnet moth. Is he on a Thrift flower? And is that kidney vetch in the background? Both coastal flowers really... not sure. Grateful if you could advise !

Thanks for the great video and look forward to seeing more.

  • Hello and thanks for your positive comments.

The Burnet moth as you have so rightly identified is feeding from a Vipers Bugloss plant growing in the centre.

Kidney Vetch IS a very good guess at the background as it is also yellow but I remember Evening Primrose growing in the background from that angle.

Many thanks again for your comments.

And yes we are posting more on this channel in the near future.

    Best regards

  • that's very interesting, thanks for clarifying, although I'm a little dissapointed I guessed the flowers wrongly! Thanks again for the video, the footage of the flowers and insects really really is stunning and I hope to come and visit the centre one day. Best wishes, secretpenfold.

  • Hi again - looking at the film more closely - at 2.54 there's a Burnet moth on Vipers Bugloss then the moth appears again later on at 3.36 This moth is on Field Scabious and there IS Kidney Vetch in the background.

In this later instance you ARE right!

    Regards.
