do you wear contacts? how do you get the eyeshadow in the inner corner of your eye and not get the contacts irritated by the shadow?

@erin724 sorry i've never worn contacts so i can't help you

@erin724 I had that same problem in the beginning when i first started using makeup. Make sure you tap of any extras on your brush to prevent the shadow from getting in your eye and on your contacts. Also try to maybe look away when you're doing this. I mean just to the side or something. You can also close your eye a bit and apply the eyeshadow. If it gets messy just fix it with a qtip. But the main thing is to not have to much product on your brush!

@erin724 I do wear contacts and I have to say that you just have to do it ALOT. Your eyes will get used to it eventually. If they don't then you prob. have very sensitive eyes and it might not ever work for you. I (fortunately) am not sensitive in the eye area, so my contacts never get irritated, but I know alot of contact wearers that can't wear shadow there. Hope this helps? LOL

@princessmpa they are exactly the same. pretty much all of the palettes at multiple places are the same. the only thing i do like is the outside packaging feels a little more secure

@trisarahtops09 everyone's pain tolerance is different and i have a high pain tolerance. for me it was a 2. it was so quick and it barely hurt but i've heard of people crying over it too, so it depends.

i have a question though... too-faced shadow insurance/urban decay primer potion are too expensive for me to buy. do you think the nyx primer would compare to the quality of the too-faced or urban decay ones, or should i just suck it up and splurge?

@peachesminder I dont think nothings wrong. Water/Oily stuff came out of mine when I opened mine. I just rolled it in my hands and shook it just a little then tried it. I dont know though. It was my first ever bottle so I thought it was normal.

@peachesminder i had that watery residue come out of mine at first as well, but after it was fine. if thats the only thing then i say you're fine but if it smells rancid, return it.

@peachesminder yah I know the almondy smell your talking about. That went away when I sqeezed a little out and didnt use that. But after that to me it smelled like my Urban Decay primer. idk if they can like go bad haha but yours might have since you say its a sickening and gross smell. So personally I wouldnt use it. And maybe return it, or if its past returning date maybe contact the company they might know more about what exactly your expierencing with your particular tube. :D
