I just came back from Sportsman's Warehouse and they had a Yukon there that looked like a lot of bang for the buck, as it was on sale for $550. I weighed 345 lbs.
But for whatever reason, I can't seem to find anything about it on the Internet. Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated.:-) Thanks!
@guyNbluejeans If the safe only weighed 345 pounds, its pretty small or pretty thin. My 2 drawer file safe is 250.
It would keep the kids out or unprepared burglars, but I wouldn't trust it if someone brought the right tools, or maybe just a pick up to haul it away in, lol. Still, bolt it down anyway.
I looked at Browning, but I wanted something heavy and hard to haul. I got a 910 pound National Security.
@10sec240sx No you are wrong, sorry, all you have to do is look in the door of a Browning and it says " Made in China" maybe they have a city named China in Utah? Plus Liberty Safes are not manufactured in utah, they are manufactured in San Jose California. They have a BTU Rating on the inside of the door and "Made in U.S.A." Also. Plus another serial number on the top of the safe and another "Made in U.S.A."
@t10bravo Their lower end safes are in fact made in china. However their high end series are all made by prosteel in Utah. Why do I know this? Because the store I work at has access to 100 percent of Browning's products. I have also spent time talking to the browning rep as well as the liberty rep. The high end Brownings are made in Utah.
@10sec240sx OK thanks, Some lower end Browning gun safes are made in the city of china Utah, And the higher end gun safes by Browning are are made in "Utah" The Liberty gun safes are made in Utah but not in the city of China Utah. Thanks for informing me of my mistakes.
Thank you.
